It is unusual for any movie to be released at the same time in the two countries. Another reason is because the movie opened on the same weekend in China as it did in the US. One reason is the fact than many parents who watched the first Jurassic Park when they were children took their own kids along to see Jurassic World. There are many reasons why the film did so well on its opening weekend. The latest movie was the most popular film of the weekend in all 66 countries where it was released. The first was Jurassic Park in 1993, which earned more than $1 billion globally. Jurassic World is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park series. They expected the film to make just $100 million in the USA. The success of Jurassic World surprised many movie industry experts. That record is still held by The Avengers, which took $207 million back in 2012.
A senior media analyst said about the box office record: "No one saw this coming." However, the film didn't beat the record for the most successful opening weekend movie in the United States. In China, they were $100 million and in the UK they were $30 million.
Ticket sales in the US were $204 million. It is the first movie ever to make more than $500 million at movie theatres on its opening weekend. The deluge of Back to the Future tributes and videos we got last month might be the apex of honors the films receive, but with all of that renewed attention, they surely won’t be the last. “The park is open” is good, but “It can’t possibly go wrong again” feels more honest and meta. I mean c’mon:Īs for their Jurassic World tagline-”It can’t possibly go wrong again”-we have to say that in this weird fictional/reality mash-up, movie slogans seem a little bit more self-aware. The Tannen/Trump comparison is too hard to pass up. The creator, YouTube user PistolShrimps (who just so happens to give itself credit for “directing” Jurassic World on the marquee), notes they’re well aware that the Biff Tannen-Casino-Owner era actually occurred in an alternate 1985-not 2015-but we’ll let it slide. Also, instead of Biff as the owner of the Pleasure Paradise Casino and Hotel, we find an actual casino owner with his own hair issues that feels way more pertinent to IRL 2015.
